Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2020. Signed on April 1, 2016. 

Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 2017: 2%
Effective April 2018: 3%
Effective April 2019: 3%

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 1.6 hours per week or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 1 year, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 22 years, 7 weeks or 14% after 25 years. 

Overtime: Double time for overtime hours. Time and one-half if employee doesn't get 2 consecutive days of rest after 6 days of shifts. Time and one-half with a day off in lieu, or double time and one-half with no day off, if regular schedule falls on a holiday.
Meal allowance: $15 if required to work 4 hours or more of overtime continuous with regular shift. $15 if employee required to work over meal period and has to unexpectedly travel more than 10 miles from the airport.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of the benefits with the IBEW Health and Welfare Plan. 

Sick leave: Provided with pay, not to exceed 10 days or 80 hours in succession. Union intervention if over 10 non-consecutive sick days in one year.

Pension: 6% of employees’ regular wages contributed by the employer to the Electrical Industry Retirement Plan.
Bereavement leave: 4 days with pay for death of parents, father-in-law, mother-in-law, siblings, spouse, or children. 6 days if funeral more than 250 km from employee’s home. 1 day with pay for brother-in-law, sister-in-law or grandparent.

Seniority – recall rights: 2 years.

Call-in pay: Applicable overtime rate for hours worked or 4 hours’ straight time, whatever is greater. Time and one-half or minimum of 4 hours’ pay for employee on standby.

Probationary period: 3 months.

Severance: 2 weeks’ pay for first year of employment and 1 week for each additional year.

Uniforms/clothing: $500 per year.

Mileage: $15 if using public transportation when called in to work outside regular hours.

Site supervisor: $38.18
Airfield technicians/Journeyman mechanic: $34.27
Summer student: $18.50
Office: $18.50
