Renewal agreement: Effective March 21, 2017, to March 20, 2021. Ratified on June 1, 2018. Signed on June 1, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
(For employees at the top rate or over-scale as of ratification)
Effective June 3, 2018: $1,000 lump sum
Effective March 17, 2019: $1,250 lump sum
Effective March 22, 2020: 1.5% increase to top rates for junior and senior warehouse-men (pre-ratification), all truck shop and transportation positions (Active employees who were on the payroll at start rate or in the progression)
Effective June 3, 2018: $500 lump sum
Effective March 17, 2019: $625 lump sum
Effective March 22, 2020: 1.5% off-scale increase
Shift premium: $1 per hour for all hours worked as lead-person. $0.80 per hour (previously $0.75 per hour) paid to afternoon-, night-shift employees. $1.10 per hour to designated freezer person (if employee works minimum 2 hours in freezer and is redirected to work elsewhere, employee will receive premium for entire shift.).
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 18 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 10 hours per day or 40 hours per week; double time after 1 hour of work. Double time for all work on second day off per week, third day off per week for 10-hour shift workers. 
Meal allowance: $6 when employee works unscheduled overtime of 3 or more hours at end of shift.
Medical benefits: Sobeys Group Insurance Plan. Employer will pay full cost of Alberta Health Care Premium.
Sick leave: 4 hours for each month of employment, maximum 12 days, after 3 months of service.
STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Pension: Sobeys Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: For death in the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, step-child, step-parent, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents, legal dependant, spouse’s parents) employee will be granted paid leave of absence. Length of absence will be at discretion of employer. In case of current spouse, parent, child, leave will be minimum of 3 days.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: When employee is called in to work earlier than regular starting time, overtime rates for work performed prior to regular assigned starting time will only apply if employee works more than 8 hours on that shift or hours worked will exceed hours of basic work week.
Probationary period: 320 hours worked (modified work is not considered hours worked).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for written reprimands, 18 months for minor discipline (no more serious than verbal warning).
Severance: 1 week per year of service, maximum 40 weeks, for warehouse closure.
Safety shoes: 75% of cost of new boots, maximum $125 per year.
Uniforms/clothing: 75% of cost of coveralls or cold/wet jackets, maximum $110 per year.
Tool allowance: If employee is required to use personal tools on job as part of employment and tool is broken while performing work, employer will replace broken tool with one of equivalent quality.

Editor’s notes: Security cards: Employees continuously reporting to work without card will be required to retrieve card on own time. Damaged cards will be replaced at no cost. First lost card per year will be replaced at no cost. For each subsequent lost card, employees will be charged $5 per card in that year.
