Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2017, to Feb. 28, 2022. Signed on Feb. 17, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.80 per hour for all hours worked on afternoon and night shifts. $0.95 per hour for all employees posted in freezer.
Paid holidays: 10 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 18 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Sobeys’ Group Insurance Plan.
Pension: Sobeys’ Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, sister/brother five, parent, child). 3 days for death of grandchild, grandparent, parent of spouse, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, stepparent, any person who legally acted in one of previous capacities).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Probationary period: 90 days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: 0 to 5 years: 2 weeks per year. 5 to 10 years: 2.5 weeks per year. 10+ years: 3 weeks per year
Safety shoes: $125 for full-time employees, $115 for part time-employees per year for CSA-approved safety shoes.
Uniforms/clothing: All employees assigned to work in freezer will be provided with 2 freezer suits and 1 pair of freezer boots. All employees who work in refrigerated areas (produce, meat, deli, dairy) will be provided with produce suit. Employer will provide all employees who work in the refrigerated areas access to the appropriate gloves, toques, dickeys and balaclavas.
Mileage: $0.34 per kilometre.

Janitorial compensation will remain at $2 per hour below above rates.
Editor’s notes: Cold training: All employees will be given hypothermia and frostbite training during orientation and employees assigned to work in freezer will periodically receive refresher training. National day of mourning: Employer will allow employees 1 minute of silence at 11 a.m. on April 28 each year in observation of those killed while working. Remembrance Day: Employer agrees to allow employees 1 minute of silence at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 for veterans. Attendance bonus: Employees who are not sick each month will receive 1 sick day credit per month, maximum 12 days. Any unused sick days will be paid out on in December of each year.
