Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2014, to March 31, 2018. Signed on June 26, 2015.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 1, 2015: 2%
Effective April 1, 2016: 2%
Effective April 1, 2017: 2%
Shift premium: $70 per night (previously $60 per night) for employees performing sleepovers. 12 hours at regular pay rate plus sleepover premium of each 24-hour period of client trips. 8 hours at regular pay plus sleepover premium for each 24-hour period caring for clients in own personal home. Each sleepover will qualify for 8 hours of seniority. 
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks to start, 4 weeks after 3 years, 5 weeks after 10 years, 6 weeks after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all overtime hours worked. On general holidays, time and one-half for regular hours, double time for overtime hours. Can be banked as equivalent time off to a maximum of 40 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer provides group health insurance.
Dental: Employer provides dental plan.
LTD: Employer provides long-term disability plan.
Life insurance: Employer provides group life insurance plan.
Pension: Employer and union participate in Healthcare Employees’ Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: Up to 4 scheduled shifts with pay for death of parent, spouse, same-sex partner, child, sibling, parent-in-law, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, grandparent, grandparent-in-law, grandchild, stepchild, stepparent, latest foster parents, former legal guardian, fiancé, relative or foster child residing in same household. Up to 2 additional days if funeral is more than 250 kilometres from employer. Up to 1 day with pay to attend funeral.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: 3 months with provision for extension of another 3 months. 6 months for part-time employees.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current):
Support worker: $14.95 rising in 8 steps to $18.30
Key worker: $16.24 rising in 8 steps to $19.59
Treatment staff: $15.83 rising in 8 steps to $19.38
Senior treatment staff: $17.19 rising in 8 steps to $20.76
Editor’s notes: Disappearance and search: Off-duty employees called to participate in disappearance and search will be guaranteed minimum 3 hours’ pay.
