Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2018. Signed on June 7, 2016.
Wage adjustments:
Effective first year: 2%
Effective second year: 1%
Effective third year: 1.5%
Shift premium: Charge premium: $1 per hour when senior LPN assigned to be in charge of facility. Weekend shift: $3 per hour for work between 11 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday. Evening shift: $1.50 per hour for work between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. Night shift: $2.50 per hour for work between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days plus 1 floater day.
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days or 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 12 years. Additional 5 days’ supplementary vacation after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half after regular hours. May be banked; unused time paid out Jan. 1 and July 1 each year.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50%.
Sick leave: Full-time employees: 1 day per month. Part-time employees: 7.75 hours per 168 hours. Maximum 186 hours accumulated.
Pension: Employer will contribute to voluntary RRSP program: $0.55 per hour or 3%, whichever is greater.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, same-sex partner, child, parent, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren, legal guardian, parents-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, stepchildren). 1 additional day for travel more than 450 kilometres one way. 1 day for death of another relative or close friend.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: Licenced practical nurse, health-care aide: 503.75 hours worked or 6 months, whichever occurs first.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Mileage: $0.52 per kilometre.
