Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022. Ratified on July 10, 2019. Signed on Aug. 19, 2019.

Shift premium: $1.10 per hour will be paid for shifts which commence between 3 p.m. of one day and 5 a.m. of following day. $1.10 per hour for employee — whose regular rate of pay is greater than team-lead classification — while assigned by employer to be acting team-lead. $0.90 per hour for all hours worked (excluding overtime hours) on shift where scheduled starting and ending time of shift falls between 3 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Monday.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 15 days or 6% to start, 20 days or 8% after 8 years, 25 days or 10% after 16 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week (unless employee is working compressed work-week schedule). May be taken as compensating time off but must be used within 6 months.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums (previously employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums).

Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums (previously employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums).

Vision: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums (previously employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums).

Sick leave: 0.05 hour per hour worked, maximum 675 hours (salary will continue at 100% of earnings until all credits are used). Employee will not be entitled to sick-leave credits prior to completion of probationary period.

AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.

Pension: Employer matches employee contributions to RRSP, maximum 3%. Pension plan provided by ACPP (Alberta Communities Pension Plan) will be available after 6 months of service at 3% (employees may choose either RRSP or ACPP, not both).

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (son, daughter, current spouse (including common-law spouse) partner, mother, father, sister, brother, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, stepgrandchildren, mother-in-law, father-in-law, partner of current spouse, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent of spouse, legal guardian); 7 days if travel distance is more than 300 kilometres from employee’s residence

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs.        

Call-in pay: Paid for all time worked at overtime rate or minimum of 2 hours at overtime rate, whichever is greater. Call-ins for actual work will be paid at straight-time rate or at overtime rate when overtime applies unless amount is less than $45. Employees have option of taking call-in pay as compensating time off with pay, on hour-for-hour basis.

Probationary period: 3 months (previously first 675 hours worked, maximum 6 months).

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.

Safety shoes: $125 rebate for each purchase of CSA-approved safety footwear. 2 footwear purchases are allowed in first year of employment to cover both summer and winter conditions, if required. After that 1 footwear purchase per year is allowed. $125 every 2 years where employee wears or is required to wear closed, non-slip footwear.
