Renewal agreement: Effective January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025

Wage adjustments:

Effective January 1, 2023, 4.0%
Effective January 1, 2024, 4.0%

Effective January 1, 2025, 3.5%

Shift premium: Applies to work performed on Saturday at regular pay rate.

Paid holidays: 13 days.

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 2 to 5 years.

Overtime: Overtime rates shall be time and one-half for the first three hours and double time thereafter for each assignment.

Meal allowance: $23 for overtime shifts.

Medical benefits: 100% employer paid under the Medical Services Plan of B.C.

and the Extended Health Benefit Plan.

Dental: 100% employer paid monthly contributions

Vision: Vision coverage under the Extended Health Benefit Plan in the amount of $500.00 every two years, exclusive of optometrist fees.

Sick leave: Each permanent employee shall contribute no more than five days annually to the Sick Leave Bank.

LTD: LTD benefit level 60% of normal basic earnings, to a maximum of three $3,800.00 per month.

Life insurance: Employer pays for one 100% of the cost of the Basic Group Life Insurance Coverage.

Bereavement leave: 5 days.

Probationary period: 60 days or 4 calendar months, whichever is lesser.

Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):

Level 1: $28.60 rising to $29.74

Level 2 - Clerk (temp/casual), Labourer: $29.82 rising to $31.01

Level 3 – Cashier, Labourer – Sanitation: $31.04 rising to $32.28

Editor’s notes: Permanent Auxiliary employees shall not be entitled to Long Term Disability until they are appointed to a posted permanent position.
