Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2018. Signed on Jan. 13, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective first year: 2%
Effective second year: 2%
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 6 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 12 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 20 years.
Overtime: Double time for hours worked outside of regular shifts (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week for outside, recreation employees; 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week for inside employees). May be banked, maximum 24 hours per year. 
Meal allowance: $15 per day.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Sick leave: 1.5 shifts per month, maximum 30 shifts (15 for part-time employees).
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer contributes 7.9% of salary.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in family (parent, stepparent, guardian, wife, common-law wife, husband, common-law husband, brother, sister, child, grandparent, grandparent of spouse, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle, aunt-in-law, uncle-in-law). 3 additional days for death of child, spouse. 2 additional days if burial happens outside of Alberta. 1 day to serve as a pallbearer.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year, 6 months for casual employees. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 90 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year for minor infractions, 2 years for other infractions.
Safety shoes: $150 per year for CSA-approved safety footwear, may be carried over to year 2 for $300.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide gloves, 2 pairs of coveralls for full-time and part-time employees, 1 pair of coveralls to temporary/seasonal employees. Employer will provide $100 per year for the purchase of swim suits for pool employees who complete 200 hours of service.
Mileage: Employees will be paid the same rate as provincial employees.

Janitor: $18.29 rising 1 step to $18.66
Lifeguard – junior: $15.46 rising 1 step to $15.77
Lifeguard – senior: $17.34 rising 1 step to $17.69
Pool supervisor: $19.97 rising 1 step to $20.37
Public works labourer: $20.99 rising 1 step to $21.41
Public works operator 1: $25.17 rising 1 step to $25.67
Public works operator 2: $26.68 rising 1 step to $27.21
Recreation operator 1: $25.17 rising 1 step to $25.67
Recreation operator 2: $26.68 rising 1 step to $27.21
Utility operator: $31.93 rising 1 step to $32.57

Editor’s notes: On-call fee: $2 per hour, maximum 7 days. Loss of licence: Employees who are required to maintain a valid Alberta driver's licence for work may be terminated in the event of the loss of licence in excess of a 24-hour suspension.
