Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2016, to April 30, 2018. Signed on April 5, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective May 1, 2016: 1.5%
Effective May 1, 2017: 1.95%
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for work starting between noon and 6 p.m. $0.75 per hour for work starting between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following day. $0.55 per hour when more than 50% of shift falls on a Saturday. $0.75 per hour when more than 50% of shift falls on a Sunday. 
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 2 more additional days. 
Vacations with pay: Full-time workers receive: 10 days, 0.83 days per month after 1 year; 15 days, 1.25 days per month after 2 years; 16 days, 1.33 days per month after 5 years; 17 days, 1.42 days per month after 6 years; 18 days, 1.50 days per month after 7 years; 20 days, 1.66 days per month after 8 years; 21 days, 1.75 days per month after 12 years; 22 days, 1.83 days per month after 14 years; 24 days, 2 days per month after 16 years; 25 days, 2.08 days per month after 17 years, 26 days, 2.16 days per month after 23 years; 30 days, 2.50 days per month after 28 years. Part-time workers receive: 4% pay for up to 5 years’ service; 5% pay for up to 10 years’ service; 6% pay for 10 years’ or greater service.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 44 hours per week. Pay can be substituted for time off which must be taken within 3 months.
Meal allowance: $10 for work over 10 hours per day, if less than 16 hours advance notice is given.
Medical benefits: Employer covers 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer covers 80% of premiums.
Sick leave: 3 days in the first 3 months of employment, additional 10 days thereafter. 13 days annually on anniversary date of hiring.
LTD: Employer covers 66 2/3% of premiums. 66 2/3% of pay after 90 days, additional 13 1/3% for up to 4 months thereafter.
Life insurance: Employer covers 66 2/3% of premiums.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (parent, stepparent, spouse, child, stepchild, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister). 3 days for death in extended family (grandparent, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, ward). 1 additional day when funeral is outside the province. 
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay, at time and one-half pay. Minimum 2 hours’ pay, if work done from home.
Probationary period: 6 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Safety shoes: $180 per year.

1: $16.32 rising 1 step to $16.64
2: $18.24 rising 1 step to $18.60
3: $20.21 rising 1 step to $20.60 
4: $22.14 rising 1 step to $22.57

6: $26.00 rising 1 step to $26.51
7: $27.93 rising 1 step to $28.47
8: $29.86 rising 1 step to $30.44
9: $31.82 rising 1 step to $32.44
Editor’s notes: Standby pay: $3 per hour when on standby. Athletic facilities: Employer will pay 25% of cost of annual fee to use facilities. Fitness: On a one-time only basis during the life of the agreement, the employer will reimburse union members 75% of the cost of enrolment into one of the offerings available under nutrition services, fitness services or fitness testing services at the university health and performance centre or enrolment into one of the Weight Watchers’ 10-week, 14-week, or 20-week programs.
