Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2019. Signed on April 10, 2017.
Vacations with pay: 22 days to start, 25 days after 10 years for librarians. Minimum 2 weeks for faculty.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $200 flexible benefits which can be used for membership in Trent University athletic facilities, at faculty rates, Trent University parking fees, city bus pass, on-campus food service providers (Seasoned Spoon, Planet, Chartwells).
Dental: $300 every 24 months. $2,000 lifetime maximum per family member, 50% coinsurance for orthodontic treatment.
Paramedical: $300 per person for treatments by each practitioner (practitioners licensed as chiropractors, osteopaths, chiropodists, podiatrists and naturopaths), maximum 1 X-ray examination per year. $50 every 2 years for eye examination by optometrist. $200 per year per family member for massage therapy. 
Sick leave: 6 months to 12 months. 
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for lesser of $13,000 or 75% of insured earnings per month.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 1.5 times annual salary.
Seniority – recall rights: 4 years. 
Probationary period: 4-year term, 2 years for librarians. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.

Editor’s notes: Expenses: $1,200 will be credited on first day of July of each year to professional expenses fund of each employee. On each June 30, unspent portions will be carried over to next academic year. Hearing aids: $500 every 4 years per family member. Transgender fund: $5,000 per year will be available to support health services, other costs associated with gender transitioning not covered by OHIP or any other government program. Unused funds will be carried over with fund amount not to exceed $15,000.
