Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 16, 2019 to Jan. 15, 2022. Signed on Jan. 16, 2019.

Shift premium: 1 hour of pay at regular rate for employees required to work split shift (after 6 months of service). Employee may be paid at time and one half regular rate between eighth and tenth hour (double time for less than 8 hours) should employee be scheduled to work with less than 10 hours between shifts on 2 separate work days. Maximum 400 hours — converted to equivalent of cash based on hourly rate at which it was earned — may be accrued as vacation pay and may be withdrawn by employee in whole or in part at regular rate at time of withdrawal. $0.90 per hour (previously $0.80 per hour) for professional cook 1. Effective June 1, 2021: $1 per hour. $1.05 per hour (previously $1.15 per hour) for professional cook 2. Effective June 1, 2021: $1.25 per hour $1.75 per hour (previously $2 per hour) for professional cook 3/red seal. Effective June 1, 2021: $2.25 per hour. $0.25 per hour for employee requested by management to assume in-charge training.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 30 years.

Overtime: Double time for all work on eighth and ninth days worked consecutively. May be banked, maximum 120 hours.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums (previously employer pays 66.6% of premiums, employee pays 33.3% of premiums) for MSP (Medical Services Plan) basic medical.

Dental: Employer pays 66.6% of premiums, employee pays 33.3% of premiums. 80% reimbursement for basic; 50% reimbursement for prosthetic appliances, crown and bridge procedures.

Vision: $200 per person in any 24-month calendar.

Paramedical: Coverage of $200 per person, maximum $500 per family, per year (X-rays excluded), for treatment by licensed chiropractor or naturopath.

Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 66.6% of premiums, employee pays 33.3% of premiums. Coverage of 75% of average weekly earnings, maximum 60% of EI insurable maximum.

AD&D: Employer pays 66.6% of premiums, employee pays 33.3% of premiums for coverage of $30,000.

Life insurance: Employer pays 66.6% of premiums, employee pays 33.3% of premiums for coverage of $30,000.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (children, spouse, parents, brothers, sisters, parents-in-law, stepparents, foster-children, any relative residing with employee). 1 day for death of grandparents, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law.

Seniority – recall rights: 6 months to start; 12 months after 3 years of seniority.

Probationary period: 30 work days or 60 calendar days, whichever occurs first.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months all disciplinary letters including those covering suspensions or discharge.

Severance: 14 days’ pay to start plus 1 additional week after 3 years of service. Additional week of pay for each subsequent year of service, maximum 8 weeks.

Uniforms/clothing: All uniforms, special articles of wearing apparel worn by employees while on duty will be supplied and laundered by employer free of cost to employees. Pants will be reimbursed at employer’s cost when they cannot be provided to employees. $0.70 per shift when employees are required to launder own uniforms. If server deems it desirable to wear sweater at work, employer will purchase sweaters and make them available at wholesale price.
