Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2018 through Aug. 31, 2020. Ratified on Sept. 24, 2019. Signed on Nov. 26, 2019.
Shift premium: Additional $34.63 biweekly for each extra ticket approved by employer for employee classified as tradesman who possesses extra journeyman tickets related to employee’s work
Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 10 days to start, 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 15 years, 27 days after 20 years. Employee may request to carry forward unused earned vacation entitlements from 1 year to next, only if carried-over vacation time does not exceed annual entitlement.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. May be taken as time off in lieu.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 92.5% of premiums, employee pays 7.5% of premiums for A.S.E.B.P. Extended Health Care Plan 1; Alberta Health Care. Employer will provide $250 per year, contributed in equal monthly installments, for health spending account.
Dental: Employer pays 92.5% of premiums, employee pays 7.5% of premiums for A.S.E.B.P. Dental Plan 3.
Vision: Employer pays 92.5% of premiums, employee pays 7.5% of premiums for A.S.E.B.P. Vision Plan 3.
Sick leave: 1.5 days per month worked. Unused days may be accumulated, maximum 90 days.
AD&D: Employer pays 92.5% of premiums, employee pays 7.5% of premiums for A.S.E.B.P. AD&D Plan 2.
Life insurance: Employer pays 92.5% of premiums, employee pays 7.5% of premiums for A.S.E.B.P. Group Life.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child, stepchild or multiple members of immediate family (parent, sister, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, stepfather, stepmother). Maximum 1 half-day (up to 4 hours with pay) may be given to attend funeral for death of relative who is not immediate family.
Seniority – recall rights: 9 months for layoffs; 24 months for absence on long-term disability.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of pay at employee’s overtime rate. Employee will also receive travel reimbursement at employer’s kilometrage rate when employee uses own vehicle.
Probationary period: 6 months.
