Wage increases, job protection in new deal: UFCW
United Food and Commercial Workers Canada (UFCW), Local 1006A members at Sysco Fine Meats Toronto in Vaughan, Ont., ratified a new collective agreement on Nov. 13.
Some of the highlights of the four-year contract include wage increases, enhanced job protection for permanent employees, protection of healthcare, welfare and pension terms to ensure no reductions for term of agreement, improvements to overtime pay and vacation language and new language covering victims of domestic violence or abuse.
