Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2026 to Jan. 31, 2029; signed March 20, 2026
Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day, Civic Holiday
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks for 1 to 4 years of service; 3 weeks for 5 to 9 years; 4 weeks for 10+ years of service; maximum 5 weeks/year
Personal/sick days: 5 per year up to 48 days’ accumulation
Employee benefits: Industrial Benefits Fund, Labourers Pension Fund of Canada and Eastern Canada, Retiree Benefit Trust Fund, Training and Rehabilitation Trust Fund
Bereavement leave: 3 days for immediate family (parents, spouses, children, siblings, parents-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents, stepchildren)
Probationary period: 6 months
Safety gear: employer provides PPE, clothing; $150 each year or $300 every 2 years for safety footwear; $100 for anti-slip shoes/year
Uniforms/clothing: employer provides 2 shirts, 1 parka, gloves; $100 for work pants
Sample rates of pay:
Resident superintendent (12 months) monthly: $3,267 rising 3 steps to $3,518.30
Cleaner (hourly): $18.55 rising 3 steps to $21.55
