Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2026 to Feb. 28, 2031; signed Dec. 15, 2025
Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day, Civic Holiday
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks for 1 to 4 years of service; 3 weeks for 5 to 9 years; 4 weeks for 10 to 14 years; 5 weeks for 15 to 24 years; 6 weeks for 25+ years
Personal/sick days: credit 1 day/month up to 12 days/year
Overtime: 1.5 times regular hourly wage
Shift premium: $0.90 for afternoon shift; $1.00 for night shift; $0.95 for freezer shifts
Mileage reimbursement: $0.50 per kilometre
Employee benefits: Sobeys Group Insurance Plan for Benefits, RRSP matching plan
Bereavement leave: 5 days for immediate family (parents, spouse, child, siblings, grandchild) and 3 days for grandparents, parents-in-law, siblings-in-law, stepparents and equivalents
Probationary period: 90 days
Discipline: Sunset clause of 12 months
Safety shoes: $175 per year
Uniforms/clothing: 2 freezer suits, pair of freezer boots, produce suits, gloves, toques
Sample rates of pay:
- 2000 hours: $23.00 rising 5 steps to $23.50
- 4000 hours: $23.50 rising 5 steps to $24.00
- 6000 hours: $24.00 rising 5 steps to $24.50
- 8000 hours: $31.00 rising 5 steps to $36.00
