Human resources director

The University of British Columbia is looking for a human resources director in the Faculty of Applied Sciences who will guide and influence organization-wide change, performance management, employee development and career progression and workplace excellence programs. The director will develop and implement innovative and creative HR strategies, programs and practices designed to provide an exceptional workplace for staff and student employees to engage and develop, and provide senior-level advice and counsel on all HR management issues across the faculty. Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, a least eight to nine years of related experience and at least three years of demonstrated management leadership experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Human resources manager

The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority in Ottawa is looking for a manager of human resources who will manage the development and delivery of a comprehensive set of human resource programs and initiatives. Deliverables include employee relations, occupational health and safety, performance management, training, job classification, diversity, total compensation, talent management and acquisition and succession planning. Candidates must be a graduate of human resources, business administration or communications from a recognized university, at least five years of progressive leadership experience in HR and at least one year of experience leading a multi-functional human resources team. Human resources generalist

The University of Ottawa is looking for a human resources generalist who will provide advisory services to corporate or strategic HR managers within a designated faculty or service involving a variety of HR practices. The generalist will analyze problems and issues, recommend appropriate responses, implement solutions and act as the primary point of contact between central HR and the faculty. Candidates must have a post-secondary degree in human resources, at least three years of work experience in organizational development and job design, and must be able to speak English and French. Human resources manager

Capilano University in Vancouver is looking for a human resources manager who will facilitate the development, planning and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. The manager will collaborate within the HR department and across the university in implementing new business processes, suggest opportunities for improvement or change and consult with managers on the development of organizational structures that enhance effectiveness and reduce administrative costs within the work unit. Candidates must have a degree in human resources or a related field and at least five years of experience in human resources management, supported by solid labour relations leadership and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Human resources consultant

The City of Red Deer, Alta. is looking for a human resources consultant who will provide advice and services for effective HR management and strategic business partnership within a specific portfolio and across the organization. The consultant will ensure relevant collective agreement provisions, legislation and appropriate decision making is applied to mitigate risk to the organization, and work on other responsibilities on labour and employee relations, performance coaching and workplace investigations, among others. Candidates must have a post-secondary degree in a related field, at least five years of experience as an HR business partner and generalist and must be eligible for candidacy for CPHR designation.
