Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2018 to Aug. 31, 2021. Signed on Dec. 3, 2018.

Shift premium: $4.25 per hour for lead-hand. $5.25 per hour for senior lead-hand. $4.25 per hour for trainer. $1 per hour for LAV. $20 per tow for qualified employees, senior leads who perform tows.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days, or 4% to start, 10 days or 4% after 1 year, 15 days or 6% after 5 years, 20 days or 8% after 10 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all overtime hours worked, maximum 16 consecutive hours per 24-hour period.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums (previously 50% of premiums) for British Columbia Medical Plan.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 80% reimbursement for basic dental services. Maximum $1,250 per year (previously $1,000 per year) combined benefit for basic preventive, basic restorative services.

Vision: $200 every 24 months.

Paramedical: $35 per visit, maximum $850 per year per paramedical practitioner.

Sick leave: 2 days per year, maximum 10 per year after 1 year of service. If leave isn’t used, it will be paid out at 100% at end of each year.

Life insurance: Maximum coverage is $250,000 (previously $750,000)

Pension: For former Servisair employees currently in IAM labour management pension plan, employer will contribute $1 per hour worked (previously $0.80 per hour worked), including overtime, maximum $40 per week, from Sept. 1, 2019 to Aug. 31, 2021. All former Swissport employees covered by Swissport collective agreement, and new employees hired effective date of ratification, will be entitled to participate in Swissport RRSP. After 2 years of service, employer will match contributions of employees: $110 (previously $80).

Bereavement leave: 3 days off, within 7-day period, for death in immediate family (parent, legal guardian, spouse, common-law spouse, child, brother, sister, parent or legal guardian of spouse, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents or grandchildren of employee and spouse, any relative of employee who resides in employee’s household).

Seniority recall rights: Time equal to seniority — maximum 24 months, minimum 12 months — to start; 36 months after 5 years of service for layoffs.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ at time and one-half regular hourly rate. Time may be banked, maximum 40 hours, 80 hours or 120 hours. Banked hours will not be carried over from year to year. If employee has not liquidated banked hours by Dec. 31, employee will be paid for any remaining hours on last pay of year.

Probationary period: 120 days of employment.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.

Severance: 4 days’ pay for each year of service, maximum 48 days pay after 2 years of service.

Safety shoes: $120 per year (previously $110 per year) for CSA-approved safety footwear. Employees may carry over allotment into following, maximum $240.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide 4 shirts, 4 pants or 4 coveralls per year, for full-time employees plus replacement if work wear-and-tear warrants it. 3 shirts, 3 pants or 3 coveralls per year, for part-time employees plus replacement if work wear-and-tear warrants it. Employer will also provide 1 summer jacket per year; 1 insulated jacket every 2 years; 1 rain pants every 2 years; 1 set ear protectors, as needed, if turned in; 1 pair summer gloves per year (ramp, BSO); 1 pair winter gloves per year (ramp); 1 hat or toque per year. At employee’s option, one of shirts may be summer T-shirt with employer and union logos. Rain gear will be provided by employer.

Tool allowance: $600 per year for mechanics, helpers.

Parking: Parking will be paid 100% by employer. Employees who do not require parking pass will be compensated cost of parking minus $5 for public transportation.
