Date announced for 2019 National HR Awards

Nominations open April 1 for the fifth annual awards that honour best and brightest in human resources

Date announced for 2019 National HR Awards

HR professionals, it’s time to circle the biggest date of the year on your calendars.

On Nov. 19, the best and brightest in human resources will be honoured at the prestigious 2019 National HR Awards at the Arcadian Court in downtown Toronto.

“This is the fifth year for this awards program, which honours HR professionals – both individuals and teams – who have made outstanding contributions to their organizations and the profession as a whole,” said Todd Humber, publisher and editor-in-chief for Canadian HR Reporter. “It’s an honour for our editorial team to be able to tell the in-depth stories of the great work being done. By moving to a larger venue, we'll be able to accommodate more professionals, as last year's event sold out quickly.”

Last year, more than 150 professionals celebrated the 2018 National HR Awards at the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto. This year’s version promises to be bigger than ever — all 14 awards are up for grabs again, and new award categories will be announced shortly.

Nominations open on April 1, 2019, and will be accepted until Sept. 13, 2019.

“This really is one of the biggest – and funnest – nights for the HR community,” said Humber. “It’s a chance to get your team the recognition they deserve, and to kick back, celebrate and network with your colleagues — who are among the best at what they do.”
