HR Leaders have a responsibility to an entire organisation and for every single employee.

Nowhere is that more pronounced than the nation’s Top 100 publicly traded companies.

Those 100 HR leaders have the task of looking after a total of 2.24M of employees, equivalent to 14% percent of the overall Canadian workforce, although some of those working for the Top 100 are based overseas, it does underscore the magnitude of the duty placed on these HR leaders.

It requires them to understand and appreciate how to motivate and to lead such a vast amount of people. They also must create methods to innovate and implement benefit structures than ensure employee loyalty.

The largest firm in CHRR’s list has 215,000 staff members, with the smallest a mere 44.
