Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2022. Signed on Dec. 12, 2018.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 1.9%

Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 1.9%

Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 1.9%

Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 1.75%

Paid holidays: 10 days, plus yearend shutdown between noon on Dec. 24 and New Year’s Day.

Vacations with pay: 15 days (1.25 days per month) to start, 20 days (1.67 days per month) after 8 years, 25 days (2.08 days per month) after 15 years, 30 days (2.5 days per month) after 21 years. Additional 5 days (to be taken within 12-month period) after 25 years. Maximum 1 year’s entitlement may be carried over into following year.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work in excess of regularly scheduled hours and for work on sixth day of week. May be taken as time off in lieu. Double time for all work on Sunday.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for current health benefits plan and employee and family assistance plan.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 85% coverage for preventative. 60% coverage, maximum $2,500 per year, for major restoration (crowns, bridges, dental implants). 50% of costs, lifetime maximum $5,000, for adults and children for orthodontic. 75% of costs, lifetime maximum $5,000, for prosthodontic services (dentures).

Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of prescription eyewear maximum $400 over 2-year period, including cost of 1 eye examination within 2-year period ($400 over 2-year period can be allocated for laser eye surgery).

Paramedical: Coverage of $1,200 per practitioner per year for Ontario-licensed chiropractor, osteopath, chiropodist, podiatrist, naturopath, speech therapist, masseur, physiotherapist, acupuncturist. Coverage of $2,000 per year for psychologist for psychotherapy and testing.

Sick leave: 100% pay for 6 days per year (unused days do not carry forward).

STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 75% pay for 124 days per year.

LTD: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums for coverage of 66 2/3% of employee’s gross salary.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 100% of annual salary, maximum $300,000.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, spouse, child. 3 days for death of stepparent, parent-in-law, brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild, grandparent, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, ward, guardian. 1 day for death of uncle, aunt, niece, nephew. 2 additional unpaid days if funeral is greater than 800 kilometres from employee’s residence.

Seniority – recall rights: 24 months.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half of employee’s basic hourly rate.

Probationary period: 6 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.

Safety shoes: $125 for CSA-approved footwear when employee is assigned work that requires safety footwear to be worn.

Uniforms/clothing: Where employee’s duties require that they wear hard hat, employer will provide CSA-approved hard hat. Where required, employer will supply CSA-approved safety eyewear.

Mileage: Paid at Canada Revenue Agency per-kilometre rate as of Jan. 1 of each year, if employee uses own automobile on employer’s business.
