Retroactive wage increases part of deal

There has also been an improvement to the night shift premium, and members who work alone will now receive paid lunch breaks, according to UFCW.

Language improvements address the on-call list and bereavement entitlement. Stewards will now receive two days' leave per year to attend union training and conferences. The employer will also now pay $25 for doctor's notes when required, and will also contribute $200 per year to the UFCW Canada Local 175 Leukemia Fund, said the union.
